Bill Harrison :: MediumWhy visit a medium?

There are times in all of our lives when we need a little extra help with direction, to provide clarity of a situation, reassurance, understanding, hope or confirmation.  When visiting a reputable medium this is exactly what you should expect to gain from the experience.

Be clear in your own mind about what you expect form your reading (sitting).  We are all looking for answers to so many of our thoughts and questions in life and decisions we have to make. We all have dilemmas’ and it is ok to ask for help with these. Even business people will come for a reading (sitting) looking for answers on how they can to be more successful and how to make the money they need to survive. Many businesses have been turned around following a reading. It is possible for a medium to be giving such information from spirit.

It is important that you do your research and find out about the medium and how they work before you book an appointment to see them.  Find out how they work; do they use cards, crystal balls, and sometimes tealeaves’.  Any of these methods can be used by the medium to help them to make a link with spirit.

People may visit a medium to try and make contact with a loved one that has passed over.  This does happen for many people but you should always go with an open mind and not be disappointed if this does not occur.  In spirit there is no such thing as time and it may be that they do not come through during this particular sitting.

What is the role of the medium?

The role of the medium is to mediate between the spirit world and this one.

To give you survival evidence from relatives and loved ones. Sometimes you will be given a message from spirit that you do not recognise who wants to help guide you at that point in your life (you may not always be able to place who that spirit is at the time of the reading so take the information away with you and ask another member of your family who might know who it was when you get home).

To help you to relax and give you the answer to your questions before you ask them, it is the mediums roll to tell you not you tell them.

To give positive and productive messages to you from spirit, at no point should negative or depressing information be given?  This only causes unnecessary anxiety and grief and that is not what receiving a message is about.

What happens during a reading?

A reading normally takes between 30 and 40 minutes and if it is any longer than this you may not get the best from the sitting. Be on time for your reading, try and have an open mind and relax.

When you arrive to see the medium for a reading you should expect to be greeted in a nice friendly way and be seated somewhere comfortable.  You should feel good about the surroundings and not made to sit in some dingy smoke filled room because the reader is smoking.

You should be able to look forward to a reading, as it should be a pleasant, helpful and positive experience.  A friend once said to me that going for a reading reminded them of being a child on Christmas day bringing back the feelings of excitement and anticipation and the shire delight of not knowing what was going to be revealed. Watching and waiting as the gift emerges.  That is what is should be like when you go for a reading.

It is a good idea to write down (in advance) any questions that you may wish to have answered during the reading as you often forget at the time and may regret it later on.

You can be given so much information during a reading it is also a good idea to ask for your reading to be recorded.  Sometimes we think we have heard something when we haven’t and it is more likely to be what we wanted to hear. Recording it is the best way is to be able to enjoy the reading and not worry about trying to remember everything that is being said to you at the time.

At the end of the reading tell the medium of you were happy with it and if you were not then share that with them too.  It is better to do that than wait until you get home
